MAN Ferrostaal to build 760 MW gas-fired power plant in Trinidad

9 February 2009 –
MAN Ferrostaal received an order from Trinidad Generation Unlimited (TGU) to build a 760 MW, $700 million gas and steam power plant in Trinidad.

MAN Ferrostaal's contract is on a full engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis. The 30-month project is slated to come online in mid 2011.

The new plant will consist of six gas and two steam turbines. The project will increase the total installed power capacity of Trinidad and Tobago by about 50 percent.
